Gaining Enthusiasm

Shawn had mentioned that a good way to inform students about the opportunities, clubs, etc. at Charter was at the new student orientation, which I believe is set for Friday the 7th of August. I would be willing to arm a table with info. (flyer, pins, basic purpose, etc.) and man it for the orientation.

What is the likelihood of having get togethers off campus. For instance at the movies, or coldstone, alumni could even be invited for these inter or intra house gatherings.

Hi Carolyn,

Great to have you on the blog!

I think we definitely need to be at the new student orientation; and should even have sign-ups there. This might be a little sneaky, but I think we can get more kids--especially freshmen--to sign up when they don't really know much about what it is and we're just at orientation, saying, "Come sign up!" I'm all for that; and I think we should have a rep from every House there. (I'll do it for Sideris, unless I find someone who wants to do it more.)

I think it is a possibility to do things off-campus--we actually talked with Shawn about a few things last year that we never got around to doing--but as you can imagine there can be some complications, depending on how we do things. Definitely something that's worth talking about.

Good to hear your voice in here Carolyn! I really have nothing to add but that since Noah said my bit.

I, historically, have very little to do on those prep days, and an hour or two representing Conor would be marvelous.
